Paul’s Copper Kettle and Creation of Apple Essence

In 1946, the apple orchard at Walnut Acres produced a huge crop. Paul and Betty made the decision to turn the crop into Pennsylvania Dutch apple butter. After experimenting, they landed on a recipe so good that it would change the course of Walnut Acres. They called their creation Apple Essence and it was an overnight success.
